KIDS HELPING KIDS / TEENS HELPING OTHERS

That’s what being part of a Junior Optimist Octagon International (JOOI) club is all about. JOOI members and advisors are actively serving the community and developing their leadership skills. Members of the Norfolk Panther Jr. Optimist Club are beginning their 6th year of “sharing the JOOI” of community service with students at Norfolk Junior High. The Norfolk Panther Octagon Club is building on four years of accomplishments at Norfolk Senior High with a strong sophomore and junior class and some new members. Elementary members of the Lincoln CRH and Grant Alpha Clubs are entering their fourth years while the Washington Little League and Woodland Park Alpha Clubs are completing their second full years of community service. The RAOK Jr. Optimist Club at the Norfolk Middle School, the Northern Hills Alpha T.E.A.M. and the Jefferson C.A.R.E. Alpha Club are beginning their second years of involvement. By sponsoring these clubs as well as the Jr. Optimist Club of Battle Creek, the Noon Optimist Club of Norfolk continues to be THE leader in the sponsorship of JOOI clubs and Norfolk, Nebraska has more Alpha clubs than ANY city in the world!
